WE CAN HELP!
Most of us can relate to the frustration brought on by taxes increasing every year. In Oregon, assessments that are too high can't be corrected unless they are appealed in time. When you or your mortgage company pays your taxes each year, you are effectively agreeing with the assessed values and giving up the right to have needed corrections made. We can help ensure you're not paying too much in taxes and may be able to find additional ways for you to reduce your annual tax liability.
Measure 50 limits the amount your property taxes are allowed to increase each year, but there are other ways your assessments may have been raised and some of them can't even be seen on your tax statement. Do you think taxes will be increasing in the next few years? We may be able to help you correct your taxable value and prevent the assessor from raising them for the next five years.
It is important to understand that an appraiser is required to act as an independent, third party. An appraisal report must be objective and cannot advocate for the position of an individual. It may be in your best interest to engage a representative to be an advocate, working on your behalf. In this case, your representative will not be operating as an appraiser so he or she will be free to work for you.
Each property is unique, so we'll need to get some more information from you to see what options are available and how we can best help you. We'll be happy to set up a consultation and explore the possibilities.
